Washington, D.C.—Congressman Darin LaHood (IL-18) voted in support of Rep Paul Ryan (WI-1) today on the floor of the House of Representatives. Ryan was overwhelmingly elected as new Speaker of the House, replacing retiring Speaker, John Boehner.
“I believe Paul Ryan is the fresh face the Republican Party has been in need of to press forward a common sense, conservative agenda I was elected to pursue. My duties remain grounded in representing the people of the 18th District of Illinois and feel that Mr. Ryan’s record on pro-growth economic policies and Midwestern values can put forth the leadership needed to be effective and transparent moving our conservative agenda ahead.”
