Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Darin LaHood (IL-18) issued the following statement on being sworn-in to the 114th Congress.

“It is truly an honor to be sworn into the 114th Congress. I am humbled to have been entrusted by the families of Illinois’ 18th Congressional District to represent them in Congress.

“Thank you to the entire Illinois delegation for their support and advice and to all of my new colleagues in Congress, I look forward to working with all of them.

“Finally, thank you to my family. My wife, Kristen, and our three boys, McKay, Teddy, and Luke, for being by my side every step of the way on my journey to Congress. I would not be here if it wasn’t for all of your love and support.

“The people of Central and West Central Illinois have gone six months without any representation in this chamber. That ends today. I am here, I am rolling up my sleeves, and I am getting to work to represent the hardworking families of the 18th Congressional District.”
