Washington, D.C. – Congressman Darin LaHood (IL-18) announced today that Quincy Regional-Baldwin Field Airport received a $5,000,000 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP). The grant will be used to continue the reconstruction of the airport's runway and improve overall safety.

"The Quincy Airport is an important part of our transportation system in west-central Illinois," said Rep. LaHood. "This grant will help fund phases 3 and 4 of the ongoing runway construction project which will upgrade the facility, improve operations and help allow the airport to expand their services. In Congress, I will continue to work to support local infrastructure that adds jobs and stimulates our economy in Illinois."

The FAA funding is part of the FY22 Regular AIP grants program to help improve the runways and ensure the Quincy airport is compliant with the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) safety guidelines.
