WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Darin LaHood was sworn in to the 116th Congress today as Representative of Illinois 18th Congressional District. This will be Rep. LaHood’s second full term. Upon being sworn in, he released the following statement:

“It has been a distinct honor and privilege to serve Illinois’ 18th Congressional District over the last three years and I am humbled to be sworn in today to continue representing the over 700,000 constituents in central and west-central Illinois. Since first being elected in 2015, I have made it a priority to provide exceptional constituent service and advance policies that support hardworking families and businesses in Illinois. Although we enter the 116th in a deeply divided Washington, these priorities will continue to guide me as I work to address our nation’s issues while voting on behalf of our Midwestern values held across our 18th District.”
